You would not believe what a dramatic change this kitchen remodel accomplished! The picture is taken with my back to the Atlantic Ocean looking into the kitchen and living room. Originally the living room and kitchen were separated by a knee wall of cabinets with a obnoxious post in the middle. We added this much more attractive and larger island a lovely synthetic top.
Behind me was a bank of 3 tall windows that looked over a deck toward the ocean. We replaced the windows with an impact resistant sliding patio door with a transom. We kept the commanding view, yet with a ready access to the deck. By the way, this house is for rent.
