Bathroom Remodel

We totally gutted this small bathroom - removing the tub, vanity, and toilet. My wife found the new sink and faucet on line, as well as the medicine cabinet. We put in a new tubular skylight, exhaust fan and light over the new shower area. And then we had fun installing all this tile. About 250 SF of tile went into the floor, walls and shower. And no, the shower does not leak!

A Remodel at Harbor Island

You would not believe what a dramatic change this kitchen remodel accomplished! The picture is taken with my back to the Atlantic Ocean looking into the kitchen and living room. Originally the living room and kitchen were separated by a knee wall of cabinets with a obnoxious post in the middle. We added this much more attractive and larger island a lovely synthetic top.

Behind me was a bank of 3 tall windows that looked over a deck toward the ocean. We replaced the windows with an impact resistant sliding patio door with a transom. We kept the commanding view, yet with a ready access to the deck. By the way, this house is for rent. http://www.vrbo.com/14767. I highly recommend you take the opportunity. The entire time we were there we took pictures of the dolphins playing in the surf, which is a very short distant from the house.
